Family Weekend FAQs

This year, Family Weekend will be held September 20-22, 2024. Family Weekend is a great opportunity to return to campus to visit with your student, learn more about Austin Peay State University programs and services and explore the Clarksville community.

Family Weekend is an opportunity for you and your family to return to campus and visit your student or if you are a nontraditional age APSU student, it is a weekend for you to bring your family to campus and show them what college is all about. Our office hosts a variety of events for guests to partake in. 

Family Weekend registration is set to open August 1st. 

Your student is invited to attend all Family Weekend events with you, as long as they have their student ID. Please make sure you purchase the free package for your student(s) when registering.

Yes, if you are unable to attend check-in for the weekend, your student can pick up your package. The APSU student can pick up their whole family’s family weekend package materials. Please make sure the APSU student brings their student ID to verify that they are your student. 

During Family Weekend all campus parking is available for use; with respect to all state/federal traffic laws. 

Families are encouraged to arrive Friday or Saturday morning. Events are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so plan to stay for the entire weekend, if you can! Events officially begin Friday and end on Sunday afternoon.

By purchasing a general admission ticket you will be able to sit with the APSU student as long as it is in the general admission section. Students get free admission with an APSU Student ID.

All Family Weekend purchases are non-refundable as the programmatic events that are planned are based off of the number of reservations made.
