Family Weekend 2024

Family Weekend gives you the chance to experience Austin Peay and get a feel for what it’s like to be a Governor. You can expect a fun filled weekend with activities for the whole family!

Our tentative schedule kicks off Friday, September 20th with a variety of activities geared toward showing your student's experience at APSU. Saturday is all about the Govs- you included! Kick off your day with an involvement brunch. These brunches will be geared toward various campus areas (e.g., Greek Life), so you can pick which aligns best with you and your student's interests or involvement. Following brunch, check out the Family FUN Fair that will include engaging activities for all ages. Of course, the main event, our APSU Govs Football game! Help us cheer on the Govs as they play Alabama A&M. 

On Sunday, the fun doesn't stop. We have coordinated with local businesses to provide coupons and specials for our APSU students and families. Check out all the community has to offer before you head to the Mudbowl. A nearly two decades old tradition, the Mudbowl, hosted by the Student Government Association, is a huge volleyball tournament hosted in two feet of mud. Join us as we celebrate those willing to get muddy as we enjoy food trucks, music, and more. 

We can't wait to show you a glimpse into APSU this September. 

Whats included with my family weekend registration?

Family and Student Tickets: The ticket includes access to all Family Weekend events including these below.

• Food Truck Friday
• Lectures from our Colleges
• Sibling Tours
• Paint Your Spirit Rock and Game Day Button Making
• Involvement Brunch
• Family FUN Fair
• Tailgate
• Mudbowl
• Football game tickets are NOT included. You will need to purchase tickets to the game seperately through Athletics.

Football Tickets

Football tickets are on sale. In order to get the Family Weekend participant price you must register for Family Weekend. After you register you will receive an email with instructions on how to purchase tickets.
