Sign up to participate in the Govs Volunteer Week, a week of opportunities for you to volunteer, learn about local non-profits, and spend some time out of the office/classroom!
We will be partnering with some awesome non-profits, such as:
- Habitat For Humanity of Montgomery County Tennessee's mission is to eliminate poverty housing from the Clarksville-Montgomery County area and to make a decent, affordable shelter for all people a matter of conscience. Our vision is to paint Clarksville-Montgomery County Tennessee as a region where hard- working families can own homes in healthy, safe neighborhoods with access to jobs, transportation, and quality schools.
- Yaipak Outreah is a growing non-profit that significantly impacts communities throughout the United States. they are dedicated to providing basic life necessities for veterans, women, and children who are traumatic situations. In times of natural disasters, they mobilize quickly to reach small communities and provide all the necessary emergency assistance. In addition to short-term aid, the organization also focuses on providing long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts.
- Loaves and Fishes feeds the hungry six days a week and distributes food to area agencies through volunteer efforts. Loaves and Fishes serves approximately 45,000 – 50,000 meals yearly on-site. Volunteers arrive at the kitchen by 8:00 AM and prepare a meal to be served between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM. After the meal, volunteers clean-up the kitchen and dining area for the next day.
- Manna Cafe aids food insecurity to more than 15% of the population of Montgomery County. They assist our county with food box distribution and serving hot meals. Join us as we volunteer with their hot meal program Wednesday night!
Transportation for these shifts is limited. Please select that you will need transportation if you are unable to drive yourself or do not have a ride.
