Department of Biology
Austin Peay State University’s department of biology provides an intellectual and motivational environment for career development in many areas of biology. Students can pursue training in field biology and zoology, animal and plant physiology, microbiology, and environmental assessment.
A Focus Area is not required but may be needed for the student to fulfill the 33 credit hour upper division requirement and the 120 credit hour degree requirement. Students pursuing a career in a Pre-Professional Health program are encouraged to consult with their academic advisor and complete the Pre-Professional Health minor instead of a Focus Area.
