Available Graduate Assistant Positions

A wide variety of graduate assistantships are offered at Austin Peay State University (APSU). Students should review the instructions below for viewing available positions and submitting applications. The priority deadline for the Fall semester is April 1 and the priority deadline for the spring semester is November 1.

Instructions for current or previous APSU students*:

• Go directly to Handshake.
• Select Login and use your AP Onestop login credentials to access the system.
• Follow steps 5-8 below.

Instructions for students who have never attended APSU:

1. Students must gain admission to an APSU graduate program or an APSU graduate certificate prior to applying for graduate assistantships.  If you need to start with the admissions application process, see instructions for applying for graduate admissions here.
2. Login to AP OneStop using the credentials outlined in the application letter. Applicants will be directed to change the password (OneStop login instructions).
3. Go to Handshake. Select  Login and use the AP OneStop login credentials in order to access the system.
4. To view available GA positions, select Jobs, then On-Campus Employment from the filter options.
5. In the search bar type in Graduate Assistantship.
6. Select desired position and review requirements. Complete the application and attach any required or optional documents.
7. Check back often to review the application status and to view additional positions as they become available.
