Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Graduate Certificate
In collaboration with the Department of Sociology and Community Development, the Department of Leadership offers a 9-hour graduate certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace.
This fully online program is designed for professionals who have already earned a Bachelor's degree and would like to earn a graduate credential while building timely skills that will enhance their ability to understand the perceptual, institutional, and social processes that impact the ways people interact and make decisions in organizations. The interdisciplinary curriculum promotes a scientific approach to optimizing organizational outcomes by equipping leaders with the skills to cultivate a diverse, equitable, and inclusive climate. These skills serve students who strive to make organizations more supportive and engaging places to work.
The nine-hour graduate certificate can be earned in as little as three eight-week terms. Completion of this certificate will allow students to transition directly into the Master of Science in Leadership (MSL), if desired. The certificate classes will count as three of the ten courses required for the MSL degree.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate Requirements

- Evaluate diverse perspectives for decision-making
- Identify the relationship between in-group processes and power in organizations
