This conference is intended for pastors, church leaders, and others in the Christian community who counsel their congregation and the community.
What:
This is a two-day professional conference from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. the following day.
Why:
This conference is presented by Whispers Beyond Silence (WBS) and Austin Peay State University (APSU). WBS is a nonprofit organization consisting of seven local churches from the several counties in Tennessee.
The participants of this conference will be able to:

Explain and raise awareness of mental health and its issues for ministers, bishops, clergy, and others in the churches who counsel those with mental health concerns.

Employ evidence-based information on causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and strategies for those with mental health issues.

Create strategies for building partnerships with healthcare professionals, churches, and the community to meet the needs of those with mental health issues.
