Content Innovation Using Creator+
D2L Brightspace Creator+ is the newly added content authoring package now available for use at APSU that provides opportunities for faculty to create highly desirable, engaging, and delightful online learning experiences for students.
Instructors can now easily enhance their courses using Creator+ Elements, Practices, and Advanced Media using Capture without requiring a background in coding to achieve dynamic content and media experiences.
The Creator+ Insert Element tool allows faculty to add dynamic components with a user-friendly authoring experience that does not require HTML coding knowledge or experience. Using this tool, the following structures can be added to your course's Content HTML topics:
- Accordion
- Callout
- Carousel
- Click and Reveal
- Flip Cards
- Hotspots
- Styled Quotes
- Tabs
- Timelines
For an overview of each element, checkout our TechByte webinar previewing Creator+. Please view these instructions for a step-by-step guide to adding Elements into your course.
If you have any questions on best practices on implementing Elements in your course, please feel free to schedule a consultation with a member of our Instructional Design team.
Creator+ Insert Practices empowers faculty to create formative learning activities to let learners test their comprehension and get immediate feedback on their understanding of a topic outside of a formal assessment.
Types of Practice that can be created include:
- Fill in the blanks, using either drop-down selections or typed response
- Multi-Select
- Multiple Choice
- Sequencing
- Sorting
- True or False
While the Practice scores are not saved or tracked, they provide students the opportunity to get immediate feedback on their understanding of course content in a meaningful, low-stake environment.
Please view these instructions for a step-by-step guide to adding Practices into your course.
