Yes!  Simply submit a Course Access Management request and ask for them to be added in your course as a Course Copy Reviewer.  With this role they will be able to review content and copy into their own course shells in a FERPA-compliant view that protects’ students’ PII.

To add a student to your course they will need to register for your course either through AP OneStop or the Office of the Registrar.

For all other enrollment requests, you can submit a course access management request to the Distance Education Support Desk.

To view the last known date and time your course was accessed by a student, you will want to check the Class Progress page.  This page can found on the Course Administration page by clicking Edit Course on the Navbar for your course in D2L.

On the Class Progress page you will be able to see all of the following for your student(s):

  • the Content completion rate
  • course login activity
  • grade activity for graded assessments

For more information on using the Class Progress tool, please watch this video.  If you see any discrepancies, please contact the Distance Education Support Desk.

If a student is reporting issues logging into D2L, please have them try logging in through elearn.apsu.edu using the same Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials they would use when logging into AP OneStop.  Please advise the student(s) they should not include '@my.apsu.edu' in their username when logging into D2L directly.

If they are still unable to log into D2L, they will need to reach out to GOVSTECH Help Desk, as there may be an issue with their single sign-on (SSO) credentials.

Notifications will appear on your minibar when you log into D2L.  In order to get additional notifications from D2L email, we recommend you download the Brightspace Pulse App.

Please keep in mind that email in D2L is a separate system from your regular Outlook email at APSU, which means emails can’t be sent into or out of D2L.

The Distance Education Department offers a suite of instructional tools to enhance the online learning experience.  Listed below are the tools supported by our Department linked to the available resources:

If you have any further questions regarding a specific tool, please reach out the Distance Education Support Desk.  If you are using an instructional tool not listed on our website as provided by Distance Education, please contact that tool's support services directly.
