Make sure you are using an updated Chrome browser (opens new window).

Test your system. Honorlock provides automated checks that will confirm your operating system and browser versions are compatible with their platform. Do this now by visiting the Honorlock Support web page (opens new window) and scroll down to Minimum Requirements. You can also check your requirements manually by reviewing their minimum requirements page (opens new window). Make sure you are using an updated Chrome browser.

Install the Honorlock Chrome browser extension (opens new window).

If you already have the browser extension installed and are still experiencing trouble, close the browser and try again. If you still have trouble, try these suggestions:

Ensure you are permitting cookies including third party cookies (opens new window)

Students should contact their instructor with any questions about the exam and requirements for using online proctoring especially if you have any circumstances that could affect your ability to use online proctoring.
Distance Education can be contacted about the tool in general and in regards to the integration in D2L. We often may not be able to assist with issues while taking an exam because the exam experience is secured. Please contact Honorlock directly. Distance Education is available Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Central Time.
