Assessment Resources for Student Affairs
Student Affairs Assessment is a part of the University Institutional Effectiveness process. The division coordinates planning and assessment through the Student Affairs A (Assessment) Team coordinated by the director of Student Affairs Programs and Assessment. The director also provides training, development and individual consultation for staff in the division conducting assessment. Annual departmental assessment plans are reviewed by the A Team and then the IE Student Affairs review teams. This review process involves continual evaluation of assessment and improvement action. Student Affairs staff involved with assessment do so in concert with the Student Affairs A Team.
Following are resources the University provides for planning and assessment:
APSU utilizes Qualtrics to create and administer online surveys and other forms of assessment. Qualtrics is intuitive, has drag and drop components, randomization, branding and more.
Department assessment planning, results and action are reported in Nuventive. Nuventive was launched at APSU in 2018, and is an online software platform that provides structure for planning and reporting. Nuventive tutorials are located at www.apsu.edu/institutional-effectiveness/nuventive-forms. Staff in Student Affairs may contact Dr. Tammy Bryant at email@example.com to request access to Qualtrics and Nuventive and to gain resources for use of the platforms and the assessment process and timeline. Dr. Bryant also provides training, development and individual consultation for staff in the division conducting assessment.
