The University College at Austin Peay State University (APSU) is an innovative, interdisciplinary academic unit designed to support student success and provide a seamless transition into higher education. Established on August 1, 2023, the University College houses various areas within the University that are outside of traditional academic colleges, offering a wide range of programs and services to help students achieve their academic and career goals.

The University College proactively engages in structuring initiatives, thoughtfully designed programming, and degree opportunities to ensure the success of our students from admissions through graduation and beyond. We aim to provide a comprehensive support system that fosters student development, persistence to timely graduation, high-impact practices, and successful transition into a career.

University Student Success is here to help you navigate your college experience at Austin Peay State University. Our staff helps most freshman and sophomore students adjust to college life, manage academic transitions, and accomplish academic goals to complete their degree program.
The Honors Program is designed to challenge students and provide opportunities for creative exploration and intellectual development.
Academic Strategic Initiatives aligns resources from internal and external partners to provide the framework for a diverse, inclusive experience that enables students to reach their goals.
Leadership
Dr. Loretta Griffy, a seasoned educator with more than 30 years of experience at APSU,
serves as the inaugural dean of the University College. With her extensive knowledge
and passion for student success, Dr. Griffy is committed to establishing a firm foundation
and setting the college on a path to success.
