Online Master's Degrees in Computer Science and Quantitative Methods
ALL our M.S./PSM Concentrations are offered 100% Online, they are:
- DATA SCIENCE: Data Management and Analysis Concentration
- PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS: Predictive Analytics Concentration
- CYBERSECURITY: Cybersecurity Concentration
- FINANCE: Mathematical Finance Concentration
- MATH INSTRUCTIONS: Mathematics Instruction Concentration
Online Bachelor of Science Degrees: B.S. CIS, B.S. CIT
Note that ONLY 4 concentrations are offered 100% Online, they are:
- General Information Systems Concentration
- Cybersecurity Concentration
- Web and Database Concentration
- Networking Concentration
"100% Online" means all courses in the above programs are offered in any of the following Delivery Methods:
- Fully Online/Web (WEB): All course content, interaction (instructor-to-student, student-to-student), and
exams must be delivered 100% online via the learning management system and online
proctoring. OR
- Desktop Video Conferencing: (DVC): Course is taught live (synchronous) with video-conferencing where course content is delivered at a scheduled time.
Now almost all courses in the above programs are offered in the DVC format, and some courses are offered in the WEB format.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says opportunities in areas related to computer science and information systems are expected to increase much faster than average through 2024 (source). At Austin Peay, you can prepare for these high-tech positions through our online bachelor of science in computer science and information systems degrees.
Through our online degree program, you will:
- Choose a concentration in General Information Systems, Information Assurance and Security, Web and Database, or Networking.
- General Information Systems Concentration prepares students for: systems analyst, applications programmer, technical writer, network manager.
- Cybersecurity Concentration: systems analyst, IT security administrator, cryptographer, IT security architect.
- Web and Database Concentration prepares students for: programmer, data architect, server and database administrator, web developer, web designer, multimedia specialist, software application developer and database query writer.
- Networking Concentration prepares students for: computer systems engineer, computer specialist, computer and information systems manager, computer network architech, and computer support speclialist.
- Gain the skills and knowledge needed to work with computer applications in the business world.
- Enjoy the convenience of online classes, course registration, advising and discussions.
- Be able to take classes year round.
- Have access to free software.
- Complete assignments and tests online or at a testing center convenient to you.
Military Credits
If you wish to apply military credits toward this degree, you’ll be happy to know the program includes up to 23 hours of electives that may be satisfied by your military credits.
Transfer Students
If you would like to apply credits you’ve earned at other institutions toward the degree, our admissions counselors and CSCI faculty will work with you to determine which credits will transfer.
Veterans
An experienced advisor will evaluate your prior credits and submit the paperwork you need in order to continue receiving veteran benefits.
