Join Nataly Lopez, Austin Peay State University's dedicated Customer Success Manager, for an overview of Honorlock, including recent product enhancements. Participants will gain proficiency in navigating and interpreting results effectively, while also learning recommended best practices to ensure thorough and accurate review processes. This training aims to equip instructors with the knowledge and skills needed to optimize their use of Honorlock's features and contribute to a secure and efficient assessment environment.

Academic Integrity in the Classroom: Similarity & AI Indication in the Formative Space

The Turnitin Similarity Report and AI writing indicator are best used to inform educator judgment, but are not meant to be the sole measure of academic integrity. In this session, we will be focusing on how the Similarity Index and AI Indication reports are the same, how they differ, and how to clearly communicate with students about the writing process, guiding the discussion in a positive direction.

- New D2L Navbar
The new and improved D2L navbar is present in all courses as of August 5, 2024.
We hope you find the new navbar provides easier access to the most frequently used tools in D2L. -
New Syllabus Location
Please use the newly designated syllabus location on the content page. The new location can be found on the top left side of the content page in your D2L course, previously known as "Overview". - D2L Creator+
D2L Brightspace Creator+ is now available at APSU, offering faculty the tools to create engaging online learning experiences. With AI-powered features like D2L Lumi, you can easily add interactive elements to your courses. Learn more on our D2L page.

- ETS e-rater
Grammar-checking with the ETS e-rater is currently available through Turnitin, however, this e-rater will be discontinued after December 31, 2024. - AI Writing Score
The AI Writing score submission word limit has increased to 30,000. Also, no AI Score will be displayed for submissions believed to have less than 20% of AI writing, instead an asterisk will be displayed. - New AI Detector Paraphrasing Capabilities
The Turnitin AI Writing Report has undergone significant changes. It now includes a Submission Breakdown, which filters and separates text that is likely to be AI-paraphrased. For more information, view this Turnitin article (opens new window). Contact our Support Desk if you have questions.
Course Availability
Courses become available to faculty in D2L 60 calendar days before the course start date. Additionally, students gain access to courses two business days prior to the course start date. Faculty should upload an accessible syllabus into courses before students gain access. Please see the table below for availability dates for the upcoming terms.
